About us!

We are both trained as Vitalist herbal practitioners, which means we treat people holistically and treat the condition/s that may be blocking their vital force or life force.  We focus on the root cause of the condition and treat that accordingly with herbs, as well as necessary lifestyle changes such as getting plenty of sleep, eating the right diet, drinking clean water, etc.  

We are both obsessed with gardening and grow the majority of the herbs we use at home. We gather a handful of herbs from the wild, such as Hawthorn, Elder and Yarrow.  We use organic methods in our gardens and only gather wild plants from places we know to be safe from sprays. 

We have found that over the years many patients often leave our consults with similar products, such as a soothing digestive tea, or digestive bitters, or something to help them relax and sleep at night.  Or there will be an expectant mother that would like to give their baby natural remedies should the need arise.  That is how the idea of Nepeta came about. 

All of our products are made from scratch by the two of us, using the highest quality ingredients alongside our potent herbs.  We make small batches of products to ensure a good shelf life and high quality product.  

Esther is a Registered Nurse and a trained Plunket nurse. She is extremely dedicated to caring for others and is in a very beneficial position of being able to merge her medical knowledge with her herbal knowledge. Esther has been studying and practicing herbal medicine for around seven years.  She is currently studying Astro-herbalism and has also completed a certificate in herbal medicine. 

Jo is a passionate gardener, has completed a certificate in herbal medicine, and is near to completion of a Vitalist Practitioner Program.  Like Esther, she is very passionate about the well being of others.  She has been studying and practicing herbal medicine for the last seven years.
